President Charlotte Kahn and Visionary Josh Kahn lead a group that pairs decades of commercial HVAC experience with the customer-first values the family built the company on. COO Allan Adams keeps daily operations moving, and Service Operations Leader Rick Overall makes sure every emergency call and scheduled visit is handled right.
Together they run everything from 24/7 service to large-scale mechanical construction across the DFW metroplex, backed by a 50-year history and full Texas certifications and credentials.
Allan Adams is a seasoned operations executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, mechanical contracting, HVAC, and distribution. As Chief Operating Officer and Integrator, he turns complex business challenges into scalable, efficient, and profitable systems.
Across his career he has led organizational turnarounds, launched successful startups, and optimized multi-million-dollar operations through strategic planning, lean practices, and cross-functional team alignment. His style blends boots-on-the-ground operational insight with high-level strategy, driving measurable gains in productivity, customer satisfaction, and bottom-line performance.
A proven integrator and culture builder, Allan aligns people, processes, and priorities to drive steady growth, with expertise spanning sales leadership, process improvement, KPI implementation, and ERP optimization. He graduated from Illinois State University and is married with five kids and five grandkids.
Charlotte began her career as a barber, the granddaughter and niece of small-town barber shop owners. Little did she realize that working and managing in a humble family-owned business would prepare her to become the third and current President of Kahn Mechanical.
When Charlotte joined the team in April of 1999, she ran payroll and supported the crew in any way she could. That unwavering passion for people is why she still carries the title and the responsibility of People Advocate.
Today her primary role is Integrator for the Leadership Team. She leads, manages, and holds each of us accountable to our values and our core focus. Charlotte is the steady force in the organization, creating clarity, consistency, and direction, with a limitless heart advocating for our partners every day.
Josh literally grew up in the air conditioning business. Kahn Mechanical was incorporated shortly before his 8th birthday, which gave him plenty of adventurous summers around the sheet metal shop, working with power tools, learning from technicians, and picking up colorful new words. He was hired full-time in 1987, managed the service side, then moved into construction for the next two decades. He now serves as the company CFO.
Josh formerly served as President of the Texas Air Conditioning Contractors of America and the Community Services Foundation. He has served on the boards of Dallas Habitat for Humanity, the North Texas Chapter of ACCA, and numerous industry training and certification committees, and currently sits on the Board of Trustees for Temple Emanu-El. He is most passionate about High Adventure Treks, an organization dedicated to building relationships and leadership between fathers and their children.
Josh holds a Texas Air Conditioning Contractors license and a BBA from the University of Phoenix.
Rick Overall is a seasoned operations manager with deep expertise in HVAC systems, airflow, and design. Years of hands-on field experience let him pair technical precision with a practical, solutions-focused approach on every project, whether he is fine-tuning complex airflow systems or leading a team through a high-stakes installation.
Known for his ability to de-escalate conflict and keep teams aligned under pressure, Rick leads with mutual respect, clear communication, and a steady focus on results. He brings calm leadership and a commitment to doing things right the first time.
Off the clock, Rick's passion shifts from airflow to asphalt. A proud Harley enthusiast, he loves hitting the open road and riding across America, where the journey matters as much as the destination. In the shop, on the site, or behind the handlebars, Rick lives for challenges, craftsmanship, and the ride.
