Company History

Josh and
Ann Kahn

Kahn Mechanical Contractors was founded by Ann Kahn and Fred Kahn in 1974. Fred was a sales engineer who left York Corporation, with an idea that he could have a better life working directly for the clients. Shortly after Fred went into business, Ann joined to lend her experience with financial matters and managing people.

We are proud to be a family owned and operated business that designs, installs, and services mechanical equipment for commercial and industrial customers. We take even greater pride in the Company’s founding philosophy, VISION and VALUES that have strengthened and deepened as we have grown.

The Company’s first office was in Grapevine, Texas, for a short period of time, and then in Farmers Branch for several years. We moved in 1981 to our current location on Irving Boulevard in Dallas in order to be more centrally located with easy access to major freeways.

In 1989, Fred Kahn moved to head another family business, Guardian Power Cleaning, and Ann Kahn assumed management of Kahn Mechanical. Josh Kahn, second generation, is Vice President - Service.

At Kahn Mechanical we believe in treating each and every customer the way they would like to be treated, offering the personal and quality service they deserve.

Kahn Mechanical Contractors currently employs a team of 32 field service technicians, installation mechanics, office support staff, and managers. We also consider our vendors, bankers, legal counsel, accountants, and our clients a part of our team. We strive for partnership in every venture.

Licensing / Insurance
Kahn Mechanical Contactors is licensed to operate as a commercial environmental and process heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration contractor in the State of Texas. We utilize general liability, auto, and workman’s compensation insurance far beyond the levels required by our state. Further information about this is available upon request.
