Note: Kahn Mechanical Contracting has been involved with the Heat the Town Program since its inception, and was instrumental in helping this program to "go national".

At the 2004 ACCA Annual Conference, ACCA North Texas submitted a resolution at the House of Delegates meeting to launch a program on a national level based on their local community service project called Heat the Town. The first annual Heat the Country took place this fall, with 12 chapters participating across the country.

ACCA National provided chapters with resources needed to make the event successful, and Patrice Pruitt, CAE, executive director of ACCA North Texas, and Ann Kahn, 2005 president of ACCA North Texas, were available to advise.
