| 2003 Habitat for Humanity “In Kind Contributor Award”
Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity honored Ann Kahn and Josh Kahn at its Annual Heroes Luncheon by presenting them the "2003 In Kind Contributor of the Year" award. In keeping with the Habitat for Humanity mission to build affordable housing for low income people, the award was symbolized by a box framed crystal hammer.
The Kahn Family and Kahn Mechanical Contractors were cited for their role in developing the partnership between DAHH and the North Texas Air Conditioning Contractors of America Community Services Foundation. This strategic alliance has saved over $4,000 in the building of each home through the donation of air conditioning systems by contractor volunteers and equipment donors.
Presiding over the award ceremony was DAHH Board President David Williams.
Norm Wilbur, DAHH Executive Director, and Dallas Mayor Laura Miller assisted Williams in presenting the awards.
